Ways to use it
- Giveaways: paste entrant names or comment numbers and draw as many winners as you need.
- Turn order: paste names and press “Shuffle all” to get a numbered order for presentations or chores.
- Teams: shuffle everyone, then split the list from the top into groups.
- Decisions: list the options for dinner and let it pick one.
Is it fair?
Numbers come from your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), which is far less predictable than Math.random. We also remove the slight bias that comes from fitting random values into a range, so every number and every item has exactly the same chance.
FAQ
What if a name appears twice?
Each line is a separate entry, so a name listed twice has twice the chance. That's an easy way to give someone extra entries.
Is my list saved?
No. The draw happens in your browser and your list is never sent to a server.
